We hope you love your purchase from Finger Lakes Yarn & Fiber. We know that it can be hard to shop for yarn online. You need to be able to feel it and see exactly how the color looks.
If the yarn you receive is not what you are expecting, send us an email at Karen@fingerlakesyarn.com and let us know what you would like to return and whether you would prefer to exchange it, or receive a refund. Items must be returned within 14 days of receipt, in their original and unused condition. Shipping costs are not refundable.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 5 days.
We ship almost exclusively by USPS Priority Mail (US Post). We use Flat Rate boxes and envelopes whenever possible; we can fit quite a bit of yarn in a Flat Rate box. Flat Rate shipping is usually the best price option. When you get to the checkout portion of your order the website will calculate shipping based on the number of items ordered. We DO NOT charge handling fees – you pay only for the actual shipping costs. Our goal is to ship out every order within 24 hours of receiving the order (unless there is a special order involved). Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.
Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.
